Thormanby Road

Our Clients received permission for the development of 19 detached houses on an elevated site on Thormanby Road, Howth, Co. Dublin.  The original development brief was to obtain planning permission for individual detached units, which respected the visually sensitive surroundings of Howth Head.

Stephen Little & Associates provided planning advice to the applicant and served as the agent throughout the planning process.  The site was the governed by a defined zoning restriction.  Furthermore, any development of the site had the potential to impact on surrounding protected views.  In addition, of particular concern to the Planning Authority was the retention and enhancement of Thormanby Woods – an important public amenity space.

A multi-disciplinary design team was retained by the Client to ensure a robust development proposal was lodged with the Council.  Stephen Little & Associates provided a number of town planning services for this development proposal.  This included:

  • Site appraisal
  • Design team co-ordination
  • Project management
  • Pre planning meeting with Fingal County Council
  • Part V advice
  • Preparation and lodgement of planning application
  • Construction has yet to commence on this project.
